Spencer, Iowa — The Clay County Fair has decided to announce all nine nights of Grandstand events – including the six shows that are part of SRG Concert Series – for the 2022 Clay County Fair, which has been scheduled for this September 10-18.
Fair officials say tickets for all of these events will go on sale throughout the upcoming weeks.
Kicking off the entertainment will be country star Russell Dickerson with special guest Adam Sanders on Saturday, September 10th. CeCe Winans with special guest Riley Clemmons will take the stage Sunday evening, September 11th. The Leroy Van Dyke Country Gold Tour featuring Leroy Van Dyke, Jimmy Fortune, T.G. Sheppard, T. Graham Brown, The Malpass Brothers, and Mandy Barnett will perform on Monday, September 12th. All of those performances start at 7:30 p.m. on their respective evenings.
Then they’ll take a break from the musical acts for a couple of nights. On Tuesday, September 13th, it’s the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series and Tri-State Late Models. Hot laps start at 7:00 p.m. Then on Wednesday, September 14th, it’s the IMCA Blue Ribbon Showdown — and again, hot laps start at 7.
The music starts up again on Thursday, September 15th, with Vanilla Ice and special guest — the Ying Yang Twins. The next night it’s country star Dwight Yoakam with special guest Runaway June. That’s Friday, September 16th. On Saturday, September 17th, it’s classic rockers Grand Funk Railroad and Blue Oyster Cult. Again all of those performances start at 7:30 p.m.
And for the third time, the Fair will conclude with the season championships of the Outlaw Truck & Tractor Pullers Association featuring two thunderous sessions of pulling action, starting at 1:00 and 5:30 p.m.
