Sutherland, Iowa — The O’Brien County Conservation Board has a couple of programs planned to finish out the week.
O’Brien County Naturalist Charlene Elyea tells us the first one is Thursday night.
She says owls don’t hibernate and don’t migrate, and are, in fact, active all winter long. She says they are also among the first nesters to lay eggs, in the first or second week of January.
Then, the next night, Friday, they’ll hold a “Welcome Winter” hike, says Elyea.
