Sheldon, Iowa — Progress continues to be made on the new hotel being built in eastern Sheldon.
The roughly $4.5 million hotel being built between Holiday Inn Express and the Crossroads Pavilion Events Center is to be a Cobblestone Inn & Suites. Tim Stuart with Boulders Development tells us a little bit about the Cobblestone brand.
He says there are a few other brands in their group as well.
He tells us about the construction progress and gives us a timeline for completion.
Stuart says it will be a two-floor, 40-room hotel.
He tells us they’re looking forward to serving the community. He says Sheldon has a strong commercial business base and the event center should drive business as well for the hotel.
