Sheldon, Iowa — The Crossroads Pavilion Board, the group tasked with overseeing the new events center in Sheldon, met Tuesday (March 21st) afternoon with just a couple of items on their agenda.
The first was a discussion about furnishings for the new facility. Sheldon City Manager Sean Hutchison says the Board is narrowing down their furniture options, and hope to come to a final decision, and order the furniture, early next week.
Their second agenda item was a closed session for the purpose of discussing a potential General Manager candidate for the Crossroads Pavilion facility. Hutchison tells KIWA that they are presenting the name of a candidate for that position to the Sheldon City Council, who will make the final decision on the hiring for the General Manager position.
The Sheldon City Council has scheduled a Special Meeting Thursday (March 23rd) at noon. The lone agenda item for that meeting is a closed session to discuss the possible hiring of the General Manager candidate put forward by the Crossroads Pavilion Board. Thursday’s meeting will be held in Council Chambers at the Sheldon Community Services Center.
