Council To Make Way For Construction Of Multi-Family Residences In Prairie Trail Addition

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council meets this Wednesday September 20th with a public hearing on the Prairie Trail Addition.  The Council will consider approval of a Multifamily Residential Urban Revitalization Plan for Block One of this Addition.  Eagle Construction of Sioux Falls is planning to build a thirty unit Apartment Complex and nine town homes in this block, which is located just south of the Taco John’s area in east Sheldon.

The Council will also vote on a resolution to take the next step toward the issuance of $3,780,000 in General Obligation Capital Loan Notes.  This will provide 2.9 million dollars in funding for the Wastewater Plant and $880,000 for the 16th Street project.

And the Council will also discuss the Sewer Rate Ordinance.

Wednesday’s meeting begins at 4:30 in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Building.
