Sheldon, Iowa — Normally the Sheldon City Council holds their second regular meeting of the month on the third Wednesday, but due to schedule conflicts it will be held this Thursday, November 19th at 4:30 pm.
The agenda for Thursday’s meeting includes approval of the 2014-2015 Urban Renewal Report. This report shows the status of all the City’s Urban Renewal projects.
The Council will also consider the first reading of the new ordinance on the Hotel/Motel tax. This new ordinance reflects the change in the tax percentage from five to seven percent approved by Sheldon’s Voters.
Other business includes setting the date and time for a public hearing on the updated Comprehensive Land Use Plan, setting the date and time for a public hearing on the five year capital Improvement plan and a discussion regarding the proposed events center project.
Thursday’s 4:30 meeting will be held in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
