When the Sheldon City Council meets Wednesday April 1st they’ll be voting to pay off the loan note that helped finance the city’s Aquatic Center. The final annual payment of $320,000 on the original $3,045,000 note wasn’t due until the year 2020, at an interest rate of 4.75 percent, but the City is now able to pay off the total amount due.
In other business the Council will consider the Scope of Services Agreement with RDG Planning and Design relative to the new Community Park. RDG’s work is intended to include the overall design of the park, with specific attention to the proposed Events Center. At this time there are no definite ideas being considered as the Council wants to see more detailed plans along with projected costs for the project.
The Council will also review Amendment 1 to the Amended and Restated Urban Renewal Plan. This will be followed by the setting of dates for a Consultation Meeting and a Public Hearing.
Wednesday’s 4:30 meeting will be held in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
