Sibley, Iowa — Another northwest Iowa summertime tradition has been claimed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the Sibley Chamber of Commerce, that city’s Good Ole Summertime celebration, which had been scheduled for Saturday, June 13th, has been cancelled.
In a release, the Sibley Chamber said their Board of Directors have decided that in order to abide by guidelines of the current coronavirus pandemic, a traditional “Good Ole Summertime” will not be held.
The Chamber’s Board of Directors is reportedly considering alternate ways to celebrate Good Ole Summertime in a way that they can maintain social distancing and not gather in large groups. If you have any suggestions you’re asked to call 712-754-3212.
