Sheldon, Iowa — Work has begun on what Sheldon Fareway officials say will soon be a Scooter’s Coffee location.
The construction is in the corner of the lot occupied by Sheldon’s Fareway store. We talked to Fareway manager Casey Ahrendsen. He tells us the Scooter’s people presumably talked to Fareway corporate in Boone.
He gives us an idea of what the property will look like after construction.
He says he’s not sure if Scooter’s has purchased, or will lease the property from Fareway. Ahrendsen says the timeline for construction is a short one.
While Ahrendsen says he doesn’t know any of the business details, he says he’s been to a Scooter’s before.
Ahrendsen emphasizes that he doesn’t know for sure if this location will be the same, as he’s pretty sure it is to be a drive-thru only. At last report, Scooter’s officials were unavailable for comment.
