UPDATE: Sanford Sheldon Steps Up For O’Brien County Honor Flight

O’Brien County, Iowa — Earlier we told you that $700 needed to be raised this week to send four O’Brien County veterans on a September Honor Flight to the nation’s capital to view their memorials.

The remaining funds have now been raised, with Sanford Sheldon stepping up to the plate and donating the remaining funds necessary to send these four heroes on their September Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

A special thank you to Sanford Sheldon for stepping up, and making the trip possible for these four O’Brien County veterans.

O’Brien County, Iowa — The O’Brien County Veteran’s Affairs Office is asking for your help to send four O’Brien County veterans on an Honor Flight to visit their War Memorials in Washington, D.C.

Four of these heroes from O’Brien County are scheduled to make the next Honor Flight trip on September 16th.  But that trip will be possible ONLY if $700 can be raised through donations by the end of this week.

The Honor Flight program is designed to give America’s heroes the opportunity to visit those memorials that are dedicated to the service and sacrifice of themselves and their friends.

Remember, your donations need to be postmarked by this Saturday, July 1st.  Help the Honor Flight program send these heroes to visit their memorials.
