Dordt Ranks High Again

Sioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux County post-secondary school has again been rated high.

Dordt University officials in Sioux Center tell us the school has been ranked #2 in Best Undergraduate Teaching among Regional Universities Midwest in the U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Colleges rankings.

Dordt officials say the honor recognizes institutions where faculty and administrators demonstrate exceptional dedication to undergraduate instruction. Rankings were determined through a national peer survey of top academics conducted in 2025.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Leah Zuidema says the recognition reflects Dordt’s Christ-centered approach to education. “Our faculty lead the way in making the classroom a place where students connect what they’re learning to everyday life,” she says. “This distinction underscores Dordt’s commitment to equipping students with both knowledge and wisdom.”

Dordt was also ranked #5 overall and #5 in Best Value Schools among Regional Universities Midwest in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings.
