DOT Seeks Input On Allendorf Area Construction Project On Highway 59 In 2027

Ames, Iowa — The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) wants to know what people think about the proposed culvert replacement on U.S. 59 near Allendorf in Osceola County.

Improvements will include replacing the existing box culvert with a new box culvert.

Construction will take place starting in the summer of 2027 and will be completed by the end of 2027.

They tell us U.S. 59 is planned to be closed during construction, and an off-site detour will be utilized. The detour will likely use Iowa Highway 9, Iowa Highway 60, and County Road A22
