O’Brien County, Iowa — Voters in O’Brien County can take advantage of early voting beginning this coming Monday, October 5th.
O’Brien County Auditor Barb Rohwer says the Election Office will be open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and is located on the second floor of the O’Brien County Courthouse in Primghar. Rohwer says voters from all of O’Brien County will cast their early ballots at that location. You’re asked to please enter the east door of the courthouse. Early voting will run from Monday, October 5th through Monday, November 2nd.
Rohwer says if you have requested ballots by mail you’re strongly encouraged to wait for your ballots to arrive rather than attempting to vote in person. Every voter statewide should have received an absentee ballot request form in the mail from the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office a few weeks ago.
Rohwer stressed that absentee voting and early voting are two separate ways to cast your ballot and are NOT the same thing.
