Educational, Networking Opportunity For Farmers In Sheldon

Sheldon, Iowa — Grain farmers in northwest Iowa have a chance to network, compare stories, and gain some insight from researchers in a meeting coming up next week in Sheldon.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Crop Field Specialist Joel De Jong tells us about the “Crop Advantage Series.”

De Jong says this is his best opportunity each year to get speakers and audiences together.

He says you should preregister if you can at cropadvantage.org. The cost is $60. He says they won’t turn you away if you just show up, but they would appreciate if you’d register, as it helps them to know how many noon meals to prepare.

According to De Jong, if the date is a conflict for you, there are other fairly nearby options.

Again, the Sheldon Crop Advantage Series meeting is Thursday, January 3rd in Building A at Northwest Iowa Community College. Registration check-in is at 9:30 a.m. with the program starting at 10:00 and concluding by 4:20 p.m. Preregister at cropadvantage.org.
