Northwest Iowa — In recent weeks we’ve heard much about the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s intent to lower the federal Renewable Fuels Standard, a move that would have a big economic impact on northwest Iowa.
U.S. Senator Joni Ernst says she has sent a letter to President Donald Trump expressing her concern over the EPA’s move on the Renewable Fuels Standard.
Ernst says that, while President Trump says he supports the RFS, she wants to make sure the EPA comes onboard, as well.
Senator Ernst, Iowa’s junior United States Senator, made her comments during a telephone interview Wednesday morning with KIWA Radio.
