Feenstra Sets State Campaign Fundraising Record

Hull, Iowa — A Republican Iowa State Senator from Hull, who is seeking to unseat 4th District US Congressman Steve King next year, has set a fundraising record in that effort.

Senator Randy Feenstra began his campaign for the US House in January of this year, and has set a state record for campaign fundraising.

Feenstra says his congressional campaign raised their funds from more than five hundred donors.

We asked Feenstra how he was balancing his time between his current job in the state senate and his campaign for congress.

He says he has loved his time in the Iowa Senate.

Feenstra has represented State Senate District 2 for the past eleven years. Feenstra’s district is made up of O’Brien, Sioux, Cherokee, and parts of eastern Plymouth Counties. He currently serves on the Iowa Senate Commerce, Rules & Administration, and State Government Committees, as well as Chair of the Iowa Senate Ways & Means Committee.
