Fieldcrest Employees Lighten Mood With Parody Video

Sheldon, Iowa — Some employees of Fieldcrest Assisted Living in Sheldon are trying to lighten the mood in the midst of the social distancing era.

Activities Director Judy Wallace tells us about their Facebook parody performance of “Sweet Fieldcrest,” to the tune of Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline.”

(as said:)”We found a video online and it was kind of fun — Sweet Caroline. Everybody loves that song. So we thought we’d just name it Sweet Fieldcrest after the song Sweet Caroline. And so we as a team as managers all got together and put some words together and practiced it and just kind of performed it.”

Wallace tells us who took part in the performance.

(as said:)”These are our managers here at Fieldcrest. They are our care memory manager, our business manager, our maintenance manager, activities manager is myself, and some nurses. We have three nurses on it — and Cal our executive director.”

She tells us why they decided to put the video performance together.

(as said:)”You know, we’re all going through a lot of extra stress here at work. And so we’ve been doing some fun things just to kind of you know, lessen our stress. And we all love to dance and sing. We keep telling everybody, “we got this.” We’re kind of free-spirited over here. And we just want everybody to know we got this. We got your loved ones. We’ve got everybody under the best care that we can do right now.”
