Rock Rapids, Iowa — There’s a course coming up in Rock Rapids to help women to take charge of their finances.
Jan Monahan, a human sciences specialist in family finance for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach says “Money Talk” is a five-week course designed for women of all ages, but open to anyone. The series will be offered at Frontier Bank in Rock Rapids every Monday beginning on September 26 and continuing through October 24, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.
She tells us what to expect.
Monahan tells us why they’re offering the course.
She says that thanks to the generosity of the Lyon County Extension Council and Frontier Bank, the price of the series is reduced from $75 to $25. To learn more about the series and/or to register by Monday, September 19, call 712-472-2576. You can also email Lora Wibben at wibben@iastate.edu. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. The fees for service will be used to off-set direct expenses and to support Families County Extension Program, including a 192-page workbook and ISU Extension and Outreach publications and handouts.
