Northwest Iowa — The general election is today. In some cases, where you vote has changed recently.
County Auditors tell us that due to redistricting, in some cases not only could your polling place have changed, but your precinct may also have changed even if you still live at the same place.
In Lyon County, many precinct boundaries and numbers have changed, according to voting officials. Click here for a precinct map. Precinct 1 will vote at the George Community Center. Precinct 2 will vote at the Little Rock Town & Country Building. Precincts 3 and 4 will vote at the Rock Rapids Forster Community Center. Precinct 5 will vote at Doon City Hall. Precincts 6 and 7 will vote at the Inwood Community Center. Precincts 8 and 9 will vote at the Lester Community Center. Precinct 10 will vote at the Larchwood City Hall. In O’Brien County, Carroll-Floyd Precinct voters and Sheldon Wards 1, 2, and 3 will all vote at the Crossroads Pavilion in Sheldon. Franklin Precinct voters will vote at the Sanborn Community Center. Hartley-Lincoln-Omega Precinct voters will vote at the Hartley Community Center. Summit-Center-Dale-Highland Precinct voters will vote at the Courthouse Assembly Room in Primghar. Union-Baker-Caledonia Precinct voters will vote at the Paullina City Hall. And Waterman-Grant-Liberty Precinct voters will vote at the RL Johannsen Center in Sutherland. In Sioux County, Alton and Nassau Precinct voters will vote at the Alton Community Building. Buncombe, Eagle West, Garfield, Hawarden, Logan, and Washington West Precinct voters will vote at the Hawarden City Office. Capel, Grant, Lynn, and Sheridan Precinct voters will vote at the DEMCO Community Center in Boyden. East Orange, Floyd, and Holland North Precinct voters will vote at the Hospers Community Building. Hull and Lincoln Precinct voters will vote at the Hull Community Center. Ireton, Center, Eagle East, Reading, and Washington East Precinct voters will vote at the Ireton City Hall. Maurice and Sherman Precinct voters will vote at the Maurice Community Center. Orange City No.1, Holland SW, Orange City No. 2, and Holland SE Precinct voters will vote at the Prairie Winds Event Center in Orange City. Plato, Rock, Settlers, and Sioux Precinct as well as Rock Valley No. 1 and Rock Valley #2 Precinct voters will vote at the Parkview Event Center in Rock Valley. Sioux Center No. 1, Welcome, Sioux Center No. 2, Sioux Center No. 3, Sioux Center No. 4 Precinct voters, and West Branch Precinct voters will vote at the Prairie Winds Event Center in Sioux Center. Voters in the May City Precinct will vote at the May City Fire Station. Voters in the Melvin Precinct will vote at the Melvin City Hall. Voters in the Ocheyedan Precinct will vote at the Ocheyedan Town Hall. Voters in the Osceola 1 Precinct will vote at the Sibley Senior Center — use the east doors. Voters in the Osceola 2 Precinct will vote at the Sibley Senior Center — use the west doors. Voters in the Osceola 3 Precinct will vote at the Sibley United Methodist Church.
