Spirit Lake, Iowa — A Milford man who was a former Okoboji Community Schools bus driver has been acquitted of all charges in a sexual abuse trial in Dickinson County District Court in Spirit Lake.

Steven Titterington, of Milford, was arrested about one year ago on charges of having indecent contact with a child while employed as a school bus driver. According to online court records, the charges are in connection with incidents that allegedly took place in November of 2021.

Last March, Titterington pled not guilty to charges of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, a Class C Felony; Sexual Exploitation by a School Employee, a Class D Felony; and Child Endangerment, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.

It only took the jury about 40 minutes to return with a “not guilty” verdict.
