West Des Moines, Iowa — In August, Hyvee Incorporated authorized COVID 19 testing in eleven Hyvee Pharmacy locations across it’s an eight-state region. Now, the number has been increased to more than 150, including Sheldon and six other area Hy-Vee Pharmacy locations.
The tests are free, and each site can hold up to twelve patients an hour. The tests are conducted through a drive-through process and children ages three and up are also able to receive testing with proper registration and parent supervision.
Individuals seeking testing do not have to have symptoms of COVID 19 to be able to be tested, however, they do need to register at www.doineedacovid19test.com. Testing is offered Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings, but hours will vary depending on the location. To see the hours of a specific test site, visit www.doineedacovid19test.com.
While registering, each person will be asked several questions in order to receive a test voucher number. Tests take no longer than five minutes and are shipped to a lab and results will be shipped to patients in three to five business days.
