George, Iowa — A Fulda, Minnesota man is bringing two memorial walls that he created to George this Memorial Day Weekend to honor prisoners of war and those missing in action from both the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Here’s Leo Voss.
Voss says other walls honor all the war dead. These walls focus on the MIAs and POWs.
Voss’s walls will be at the George-Little Rock High School this Saturday, Sunday, and Memorial Day Monday. In addition to the walls, Voss says he has more information for people.
Voss tells us about the several years that he has put into honoring and remembering the POWs and MIAs. He says he started with a wall honoring Minnesota veterans.
In his research, Voss says he also uncovered some surprising documents about prisoners of war from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, and he’ll have those available as well. The walls can be seen at the George/Little Rock High School in George on Saturday from 10:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, they’ll be there from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. On Memorial Day, they’ll be there from 9:00-6:00 p.m. Voss says his goal is to help bring remains, the truth, or somebody back.
