Sheldon, Iowa — This is National EMS Week — and as usual during this special week, our local EMTs do a special get-together. It’s part fundraiser, part community outreach.
Dianne Wolthuizen is with the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team or SCAT. She was on the KIWA Talk of the Town program recently with Tom Traughber, and she tells us about the SCAT Supper, which she says, for the past several years, has been like a picnic.
She says all the food is homemade by members of the SCAT team.
Every year, SCAT selects a special need or project that needs funding to receive the proceeds of the SCAT Supper.
Again, the SCAT supper is this Tuesday night from 5:00-7:00 at the Sheldon Crossroads Pavilion.
