Funny Money Being Circulated In Sheldon

Sheldon, Iowa — At least one of Sheldon’s banks has received counterfeit $20 bills in a couple of deposits recently, according to the Sheldon Chamber & Development Corporation.

The bills are said to look authentic, EXCEPT they reportedly feel very thick, and on the front and back of the bills it reads, “Motion Picture Purposes,” and “In Props We Trust,” where genuine currency reads, “In God We Trust.”

There have recently been reports of similar bills being passed in other areas here in northwest Iowa. You are urged to be aware and be on the lookout for these bogus bills.
