Northwest Iowa — We’ve seen the price of gasoline come down a bit in recent weeks here in northwest Iowa, and according to a report from the Iowa Department of Agriculture, that trend has been brought on by falling crude oil prices.
The average price, statewide, for a gallon of gas dropped 4-cents this week, to $2.25. The national average also fell 4-cents, to $2.32 a gallon, according to Triple-A.
In Sheldon, as of early afternoon Friday (June 16th) the price for a gallon of gas averaged $2.24 per gallon, once cent per gallon below the statewide average. That’s down 5-cents a gallon from one week ago.
