Northwest Iowa — It’s almost that time again. Do you have your candy ready? Little ghosts and goblins, as well as super heros and K-Pop Demon Hunters will be knocking on your door or ringing your bell and saying “Trick or Treat!” tomorrow night.
Sheldon Trick-or-Treating will be on Friday, October 31st. Downtown trick-or-treating will be from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The SCAT Haunted garage will be open from 4:30 p.m.to 6:30 p.m. City-wide trick-or-treating will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and trick-or-treating at Sanford Sheldon Hospital will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Orange City Business Trick-or-Treating will be from noon until 5 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Your kids are invited to join them downtown and get treats from participating businesses.
Sibley has moved their trick-or-treating to tonight (Thursday night). Business and organization trick-or-treating will be from 4 to 5 p.m. The Candy Dash is at 6, followed by city-wide trick-or-treating in Sibley. You can find a list of participating businesses on the Sibley Chamber Facebook page.
In Rock Rapids, the Halloween Parade, where kids walk in a line around downtown getting treats from merchants and others, will start at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon on the west side of the Sunshine Foods building. Families are also encouraged to stop at Stonebridge Suites Assisted Living (the former Premier Estates in southern Rock Rapids) as the residents like to see all the costumes and hand out candy.
