Rock Rapids, Iowa — There’s a blood drive this Wednesday in Rock Rapids. But there’s some good news about this blood drive and subsequent drives, according to Community Blood Bank Executive Director Ken VerSteeg.
He tells us the news about this drive, in particular at Avera Merrill Pioneer in Rock Rapids, and some good news for the future.
VerSteeg says if you ever miss the opportunity to give at a local blood drive in such a situation as this, you can always give in Sioux Falls as well, any weekday.
While VerSteeg says they hope people don’t start giving less, but the need is less dire than it has been recently.
The Community Blood Bank serves almost all of the hospitals in northwest Iowa, as well as several hospitals in Minnesota and South Dakota.
