Gospel Mission Provides More Than A Radio Devotional

Sioux City, Iowa — Every weekday morning at 8:59, listeners of KIWA-AM 1550, and FM 100.7 hear a 60-second devotional message from the Sioux City Gospel Mission. We wanted to know more about The Mission and its purpose.

KIWA talked to Sioux City Gospel Mission Chaplain Tim Hall, and he shared with us the organization’s Mission Statement.

Hall talked about some of the specific services offered by the Sioux City Gospel Mission.

He says single mothers with children, and single fathers with children programs provide transitional housing, until the families can find stable, permanent housing.

Hall says the Sioux City Gospel Mission provides classes and counselling, as well.

He says there are a lot of program-based opportunities while people are at the Gospel Mission. We asked Hall if there was anything the Sioux City Gospel Mission DOESN’T do. He replied they don’t provide child care, nor do they offer transportation.

Hall says the Sioux City Gospel Mission couldn’t function without their volunteers.
