Sheldon, Iowa — When the Sheldon Community School Board met in regular session Wednesday night, the Turf Field Project was on their agenda.
Sheldon School Superintendent Cory Myer says the school board approved the 28-E agreement between the school district, the City of Sheldon and Northwest Iowa Community College.
Myer says the groundbreaking for the Turf Project at Orab Field has been scheduled.
He says the project is scheduled to be completed late this summer.
Myer acknowledges that an exact completion date will be dependent upon, among other factors, Mother Nature.
In other action at Wednesday’s meeting, the school board approved the purchase of 188 Chromebook computers from SuperHiTech at a cost of $64,717.12, as well as the purchase of 100 iPads for use in the lower elementary from the Apple Store for Education Institution at a cost of $29,400.
