Hinson Says Possible Gov’t Shutdown Won’t Impact Farm Bill

Washington, DC — Iowa Congresswoman Ashley Hinson says the Farm Bill negotiations should not be impacted if budget details can’t be worked out to avoid a government shutdown.

The Republican from Marion says her goal is to pass the most conservative spending bill possible.

It’s unlikely the Farm bill is going to get completed before the deadline at the end of September.

Hinson made her comments during a conference call with reporters.
