Sheldon, Iowa — Last week’s KIWA Song of the Day game came to an official end this (Monday) morning, with the drawing of the name of the winner for the Grand Prize, a Holland Companion Grill, valued at $395, on the KIWA Morning Show with Wayne & Aaron.
Contestants earned entries in the drawing by being the 5th caller each day last week each time the Song of the Day was played on KIWA-FM. A total of 10 listeners had their names entered into the drawing.
The winner was drawn on the KIWA Morning Show, and it sounded like this:
Mary Jo came to the KIWA Studios Monday afternoon to claim her prize, and told us that she didn’t hear her name announced as the winner, but her husband did.
And her reaction when her husband told her she’s won?
Mary Jo says that, she is not only surprised to have won, she’s also extremely excited!

Earlier we brought you the Hi-Lo game. That proved to be so popular that it’s returning for this week! Listen to KIWA-FM, and you could have a chance to take a guess at this week’s Hi-Lo number!! The prize for whomever guesses the correct number, between 105 and 1550, will be $155 in cash. The Hi-Lo game, and the Song of the Day are all part of the celebration of KIWA Radio’s 55th Anniversary of service to northwest Iowa.
