Human Trafficking Public Assembly Is Thursday

Sheldon, Iowa — Human trafficking will be the subject of a public assembly Thursday evening (April 7th) at 7:00 pm in the Sheldon High School Auditorium.  The event is the brainchild of four Sheldon High School girls who want to share information about human trafficking with the community.

Jessica Karolczak is one of the four student organizers of the event, and she says the main focus will be on awareness of the problem.

The assembly will feature a video about human trafficking, as well as speaker Jen Sandbulte.  Karolczak tells us more.

She says that, in addition to human trafficking, some of the root causes will be discussed.

The program, which is sponsored by the Sheldon Eagles Club, Farmers Coop Society, Citizens State Bank, and Peoples Bank, all of Sheldon, begins at 7:00 pm Thursday evening, and the public is urged to attend.
