KIWA Talks With Sheldon’s New Chamber Director

Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon’s new Chamber of Commerce Director has had a week to get her feet wet, and we’ve had a chance to talk to her a little.

Trista Kavanagh is the daughter of former Sheldon Chamber Director Shanelle Matus, who has also been serving as Interim Chamber Director.

Kavanagh tells us about her background.

She says at least part of the reason she wanted to be Sheldon’s Chamber Director has to do with her mom. But she also wants to give back to Sheldon.

She says she’s excited about what the new staff at the SCDC office can come up with. She says there are some benefits to having an entirely new staff.

Kavanagh assumed the role of Chamber Director on May 1st.
