Northwest Iowa — This winter we had some extra time with our children when schools canceled due to snow and ice.
There were so many snow days that school boards in northwest Iowa had to meet to decide how to make them up. No matter what they decided to do, many of them still had to add days to their calendar year. Here is an update on when schools in our area will be letting out for the summer.
Boyden-Hull Community Schools will be let out on Thursday, June 1st.
Central Lyon will let out on Friday, June 2nd.
George-Little Rock will be let out on Friday, May 26th.
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn will be let out on Friday, May 26th.
MOC-Floyd Valley will be let out on Friday, May 26th.
Rock Valley Community Schools will be let out on Friday, May 26th.
Sheldon Community Schools will be let out on Friday, May 26th.
Sibley-Ocheyedan Community Schools will be let out on Friday, May 26th.
Sioux Center Community Schools will be let out on Friday, June 2nd.
South O’Brien will be let out on Thursday, June 1st.
West Lyon will let out on Friday, May 26th.
