Cool and breezy conditions will continue Monday and Tuesday.
Strengthening westerly winds through the day, as well as warm temperatures, low humidity, and dry fuels lead to high to very high fire danger across the region today. Sustained winds will be in the 15 to 25 mph range. A cold front passing through the region this afternoon and evening switches winds from westerly to northerly, with gusts to 40 mph possible behind the front. Precautions should be taken today to prevent fires.
