Little Rock, Iowa — It’s time for the 69th annual Little Rock Corn Show.
As town festivals go, it’s been around for a while, but it’s still going strong — the Little Rock Corn Show starts this Thursday, August 25th, and runs through Sunday the 28th.
We had a chance to talk with the president of the Little Rock Town & Country Club, who puts on the festival every year — Rod Borer. He gives us an idea of what to expect on Thursday and Friday.
While other fairs and festivals in Lyon County have inflatables and games, the Corn Show is the only Lyon County festival with real rides and a carnival, says Borer.
He says not only is the carnival available late Friday afternoon but it’s also available Saturday after the parade.
Borer says there’s another unique thing about the Corn Show that makes it more like a fair — the exhibits.
He gives us an idea of some of the other things going on on Saturday.
The fun doesn’t stop there. It continues through Sunday.
