Little Rock, Iowa — A Little Rock man faces numerous felony charges after the report of an accidental gun shot at a Little Rock residence.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to the call Sunday at the Joe Pedersen residence in Little Rock. Deputies say Mr. Pedersen suffered a gun shot wound that they believe was self-inflicted.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, their investigation into the incident revealed that Pedersen was not allowed to possess firearms. As a result, Pedersen was charged with 7 counts of Felony Possession of Firearms, and 1 misdemeanor count of Child Endangerment. Deputies say Pedersen was arrested and jailed in the Lyon County Jail on Monday, May 8, where he later posted a $10-thousand bond and was released.
