Sheldon, Iowa — The USDA Rural Development Rural Housing Service Program has low-interest loans available to qualifying homeowners in our area, called “Section 504 Loans”. These loans are available to assist homeowners in financing repairs to their homes.
Curt Strouth is Sheldon Community Development Director, and he tells us about these Section 504 Loans.
Strouth talks about some of the projects that qualify for the Section 504 Loans.
He says the loans are low-interest, long-term loans, but there are income eligibility guidelines.
Strouth says these loans are confined to owner-occupied housing.
