Rock Rapids, Iowa — The Lyon County Fair is coming to town on Sunday, July 16th in Rock Rapids.
Lori Rens, the Lyon County Fair Board Secretary, tells us about one of the new activities that will be going on.
She says to kick off the fair on Sunday, July 16th, there will be a gospel concert featuring the group “One Way Up” at the First Reformed Church in Rock Rapids at 2:30 p.m., followed by an ice cream social. Rens says on Monday, July 17th, there will be activities such as a hypnotist show, inflatables, and a new exhibit. She tells us about the new exhibit.
Rens says on Tuesday, July 18th, some activities that will go on include Rapid Speedway Races and the Kid’s Pedal Pull. She tells us about the Pedal Pull.
On Wednesday, July 19th, Rens says activities include a spelling bee and Figure Eight Races. She says on Thursday, July 20th, there will be a swine show and on Friday, July 21st, the Rapid Speedway races will have free admission.
