Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Lyon County Jail inmate now faces an additional charge after he allegedly assaulted a Lyon County Deputy.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday, January 1, 2016, their deputies were called to the Lyon County Jail for a disorderly inmate. The inmate was identified as 30-year-old Adam Anderson, who according to court records is a convicted felon, currently being held in the Lyon County Jail on drug charges.
During the investigation Anderson is alleged to have struck one of the deputies. Anderson was subsequently charged with assault on a police officer.
