Lyon County Road Closed Due To Water And Ice

Larchwood, Iowa — A section of a rural gravel road in Lyon County has been closed due to water and ice.

According to the Lyon County Secondary Road Department, water and ice have caused Birch Avenue to be closed between 160th Street and 180th Street. Secondary road officials advise people to please use an alternate route.

The road in question is three miles west and three miles south of Larchwood, and is near the Klondike Creek, about 2.3 miles northeast of where the creek joins the Big Sioux River, south of the village of Klondike.
