Sheldon, Iowa — For the second time in as many weeks, a Sheldon-based company is announcing a new product.
Maintainer Corporation of Iowa, Inc. is saying they are proud to announce the addition of ALUMINUM Service Bodies to their lineup. In addition to service body-only models, Maintainer has also released its first aluminum body with a telescoping crane. The new series is being released in conjunction with the 2020 CONEXPO-CON/AGG trade show going on now in Las Vegas.
Maintainer’s Director of Sales & Service, Tom Wibben says that there are two main reasons customers have been asking for aluminum options. Aluminum saves weight, which allows the users to mount the body on smaller chassis as well as gain payload. Corrosion resistance is the other main advantage of using aluminum, according to Wibben.
He says Maintainer’s steel service bodies already incorporate a lot of aluminum, from doors and shelving to DuaLock aluminum drawer sets. Still, Wibben tells us that Maintainer’s new All-Aluminum bodies can still offer 49% weight savings over the comparable steel body.
According to Wibben, Maintainer has not sacrificed quality going to an aluminum option. He says they think customers will be excited about these strong, yet lightweight trucks.
