Man Arrested In Connection To 2014 Southern Archery Burglary

Spencer, Iowa — The man police say burglarized a Spencer business more than three years ago, making off with several thousand dollars worth of merchandise, has been placed in the Clay County Jail in Spencer.

Authorities say 33-year old Jermaine Hill, of Sioux Falls, is being held on charges of 1st Degree Theft, and 3rd Degree Burglary in connection with a burglary at Southern Archery in Spencer, which took place in July, 2014.

Hill is accused of stealing more than $10-thousand worth of guns after breaking into the store.

Authorities say Hill was booked into the jail, and being held to appear before a magistrate.

1st Degree Theft is a Class “C” Felony, carrying a potential prison sentence of up to 10 years.  3rd Degree Burglary is a Class “D” Felony, with a potential penalty of up to 5 years in prison.
