Spencer, Iowa — A jury in Clay County has convicted a man on a murder charge. The case involved the death of another man whose body was found in an alley in downtown Spencer back in August of this year. Authorities tell us 44-year-old Wade St. John, Sr. faces life in prison with no parole. A sentencing date hasn’t been set.
Prosecutors say St. John punched and kicked the victim, Dee Jay Laudner, in an alley just off Grand Avenue on August 26th of this year. Laudner died of the injuries.
