Mayor Talks Spring

Sheldon, Iowa — Spring is right around the corner, and Sheldon Mayor Katricia Meendering says there are some spring topics about which Sheldon residents need to be aware.

Mayor Meendering says this spring, as every year, we’re seeing some potholes in the streets around Sheldon. She says you should drive carefully, and City crews will begin repairing those potholes as soon as possible.

The Mayor says one of her “pet” peeves is people who don’t pick up their pet’s “deposit” when they’re taking the animal out for a walk.

Meendering says Spring Clean-Up Days are right around the corner.

If you’d like more information about Clean-Up Days, she says you can call the City Office at 712-324-4651.

Mayor Meendering also reminds Sheldon residents that the Overnight Parking Ban on city streets ends April 1st.
