Gaza, Iowa — Your chance to talk to your local legislators and ask them questions about the upcoming legislative session is coming up this Thursday night in the little town of Gaza.
One of the organizers of the Gaza Forum, Dennis Fogelman, tells us they had a similar event back in May before the Primary Election, and that went over well, so on Thursday at 6:30, they’re going to have another forum at the PROducers Coop in Gaza.
He says this gives people a chance to meet their senators and representatives on a personal basis.
Fogelman tells us about the rest of the forum.
That number for texting your questions is 712-229-9212. Fogelman says there will be an informal time of questions after that.
He tells us they’ve already got several questions on pipelines and eminent domain, education funding, especially as it relates to private school students, and DNR issues, just to name a few. Fogelman says they’d also like area students to come and meet their senators and representatives firsthand. That’s all this Thursday night in Gaza, which is about four miles south of Primghar and two east. The address is 4325 Tabor Avenue, rural Primghar.
