O’Brien County, Iowa — The annual Perseid meteor shower is one of the most beloved meteor showers of the year, and you can see it during a very special event this coming Tuesday at the Prairie Heritage Center.
O’Brien County Naturalist Charlene Elyea tells us more.
The Perseid Meteor Shower may be viewed at the Prairie Heritage Center this coming Tuesday, August 13th.
One of the new things at the Prairie Heritage Center is a new 10-foot observation tower. Elyea tells us about it.
Elyea says an event scheduled for August 20th will act as a fundraiser for the new observation tower. That event is a picnic called the Bison Burger Picnic and Lawn Concert, and will run from 5:00 to 7:30 that evening.
She says the Bison Burger Picnic is always a fun time.
