Spirit Lake, Iowa — Another moose has been sighted in northwest Iowa. This one was photographed Saturday late afternoon swimming across Big Spirit Lake.
Other posts show the animal wandering in the area of 240th Avenue along the west side of Big Spirit Lake.
More than 30 thousand people who are members of the Moose on the Loose Facebook page followed a different moose over the past month, posting photos as he made his way from northwest Iowa through Minnesota.
Moose fans think they are likely young males coming from Wyoming or Colorado, going north looking to find territory and build their own family units.
