Sheldon, Iowa — If your income tax situation meets some guidelines, you can get your taxes done for free at Northwest Iowa Community College.
Sheila Drenkow with NCC says they’ve been doing peoples’ taxes for sixteen years. She gives us the details.
She tells us that $56,000 income limit is a family income limit, so the total income of the household has to be less than that to qualify.
Drenkow tells us the program is good training.
She says even though those who prepare the taxes are still learning, you don’t have to worry about inexperience. She says they’ve got you covered.

Drenkow says the program is good experience for the administrative secretarial students who do the scheduling, file making, and filing; and for the accounting students who actually do the returns.
