Sheldon, Iowa — The automotive program at a local institution is among the best in the nation.
That’s according to the results of a recent contest, say officials at Northwest Iowa Community College (NCC) in Sheldon. They tell us that the NCC program was one of the top four finalists in the prestigious Tomorrow’s Tech 2023 School of the Year Contest, sponsored by O’Reilly Auto Parts and WIX Filters. College officials say while NCC did not clinch the top honor, its Automotive & Light Duty Diesel Program stands out as one of the elite in the nation, securing a commendable place among the other three distinguished top schools in this highly competitive contest.
Despite not winning the top prize, NCC officials say the college’s achievement in reaching the final four is a testament to the excellence and dedication of its automotive program. As a token of recognition for their outstanding performance, NCC will be awarded a $500 gift card from WIX Filters. Additionally, the program will be featured on Tomorrow’s Tech’s website and in their newsletter, highlighting the quality education and training NCC provides to its students.
Mike Harvey, Brand Manager for WIX Filters, praised the finalists, saying, “Each of the top four schools, including Northwest Iowa Community College, has demonstrated exceptional commitment to automotive education.
